World’s First OVAL Shaped Protein Skimmer
Skimz to launch its new OVAL protein skimmer at Aquarama 2013, Singapore. Visitors to stand 426, will see a range of high performance DC pump for Leopard and Monzter skimmers, including a new OVAL protein skimmer and OVAL biopellet reactor.

The new Skimz Oval Conical protein skimmer is sleek, small and powerful. With space saving design, it is great for people who have small sumps, but in need of a powerful protein skimmer. The design of the new Skimz Oval skimmer has slimed down the footprint by almost 25%. In addition to the included VSC-DC pinwheel pump, the Oval skimmer features a double cone and an integrated volute. These pumps are DC which allows users to select from six preset RPMs via the controller to tune the skimmers performance on demand.
The Skimz Oval protein skimmers will be available in three sizes:
The smallest model is the Skimz SV203 that is rated for aquarium systems up to 1,200L. The SV203 skimmer draws an air intake of 1,200 LPH of air while consuming 19W.
The midsize model is the Skimz SV223 rated for systems up to 2,000L, draws an air intake of 1,800 LPH of air while consuming 35W. The Skimz SV253 is the largest model rated for sysytems up to 3,000L, draws an air intake of 2,400 LPH of air while consuming 69W.

4 x Skimz ST1000 TurboMagnum with air intake of 14,400 L/h, body diameter 1000mm and height 2500mm and is recommended for water volume up to 80,000 L, were installed at the Lim Chu Kang Fish Farm (Singapore).
Skimz TurboMagnum skimmer is a commercial-sized recirculating protein skimmer, designed for professional aquaculturists, commercial farms, large public aquariums, and aquatic wholesale holding unit. It is extremely efficient at removing dissolved organics and pollutants. This skimmer uses a newly developed Super Mixer Injector (SMI), which offers a 50% increase in air intake over other conventional venturi. The advanced bubble plate technology integrated in the skimmer significantly reduces turbulence inside the reaction chamber. Together, these maximize the capacity for air flow yet enables effective foam formation within the skimmer.
Skimz TurboMagnum skimmer incorporates a Self Washing Head (SWH), which increases the efficiency of the skimmer by up to 30%. The integrated SWH is designed specially for the TurboMagnum range of skimmers. The SWH injects water on the inner side of the skimmer riser neck, washing away accumulated sludge that has collected on the side of the riser tube. The result is that the TurboMagnum skimmer will always be performing at its maximum efficiency, with minimum maintenance required. Skimz TurboMagnum protein skimmer offers:

The new Skimz Leopard protein skimmer uses the same DC pump of Skimz Monzter SM163, SM203 and SM253. With the incorporation of the Micro-Adjustable Valve (MAV), this pipeless protein skimmer reduces the footprint inside the sump tank.
