skimz monzter e-series protein skimmer

Skimz, a company located in Singapore that produces reef aquarium products like protein skimmers has started to tease their new Skimz Monzter II. This is a new protein skimmer design that features a double bubble plate as well as a very efficient main water pump that uses a needlewheel. You won’t see any cone skimmer design on this Skimz Monzter II as Skimz has decided to go the traditional route. Expect to see this released at Interzoo this year.

Singapore reef aquarium manufacturer Skimz will be introducing their new Monzter II Protein Skimmer at the highly anticipated pet trade show InterZoo this coming May. Details are slim at this point, but take note of the yet to be identified pump. Enlarged volute on a Laguna?

Singapore reef aquarium manufacturer Skimz will be introducing their new Monzter II Protein Skimmer at the highly anticipated pet trade show InterZoo this coming May. Details are slim at this point, but take note of the yet to be identified pump in the rendering above. Historically Skimz has sided with AquaBee pumps in their equipment line, ranging from the 2000/1 up to the larger 5000 model. This pump is clearly using an enlarged volute and based on the square placement of the screws, and overall size, we would not be surprised to see a needlewheel equipped laguna injecting into the bubble plate.

That’s about it, you’ve seen it all. The thrill! the excitement!

So, unless you’re really into markets and all that, you can easily wake up at a normal hour and make a quick stop on the way to the Kabuki show on Ginza.
